Loved and Blessed Box Review ( and a general update)

Hello to all my super awesome readers! I have been busy with super important mom stuff, but when I noticed that my loved and blessed box was waiting for me at the door, I knew I had to drop everything a write ( which I thought should include a general update because if you guys are really still reading this, you probably care about all the stuff I do on a daily basis. Anyways, I’ve been wanting to post two really super awesome posts, One being a get ready with me type post that shows all the steps of getting a nice freckle free contoured canvas on my face. The other being a how to guide on shopping for plus size clothing and accessories on a budget, including sneak peaks into my wardrobe ( I know based on some pictures I put on here it looks like my whole wardrobe is just tons of camis, but I swear I own other clothes). I was super excited for both of these posts, but right after I finished off taking pictures for the get ready with me post, my camera died. So, after scrounging around for some random batteries, I had enough bars to take pictures of my daughter opening her birthday presents. Suffice to say, I am a procrastinator, and need to go buy some batteries still. So, I have a super quick review to give you with a poor quality cell phone picture.

So the Month of June was Victory. Like last month’s box I got a sticker, mini scripture card, encouragement poster, and a free gift. I was super excited that the free gift this month was a piece of jewelry. You can’t see it in the picture, but the necklace has Victorious etched into it. The only complaint that I do have is that it is a very short chain, so I will be working on extending it so that I can wear it. If you haven’t already noticed, the box is missing from this picture. I received my box stained blue fro the USPS with a ticker on it saying that it had been contaminated with dog shampoo and had to be disinfected. Luckily everything inside was okay. I am a little bummed that it wasn’t presentable enough to sneak into the background of the picture, but if you follow my blog regularly, you already know what the box looks like from last month’s review.

Sadly, that’s all I have time for today. I already have my 6 month old crawling over here because she’s pretty sure the computer is a toy.

Getting Rid of Clothes

I’ve come to realize that I have a problem: I am a clothes hoarder.

I know, I know that sounds like a good thing, but I don’t just hoard clothes for me, I hoard clothes for the other 3 members of my family. Both my Toddler and my 5 month old each have enough clothes to fill a 7 drawer dresser…. EACH! I mean, just think of how small baby and toddler clothes are….

Between our small 4 person family we have accumulated 3 tall hampers and 6 short hampers full ( and by full I mean overflowing) of clothes. So, we are purging out are closets. I never thought something so simple would be so painful.

I will admit, This problem isn’t a new one…. I walked into my marriages with my own personal boutique…  I picked up a pair of leggings that I hadn’t worn since before I was pregnant with our oldest…. She’s almost 2. I also own tons of dresses and skirts: I hate dresses and skirts ( which I will probably rant about that love hate relationship some other time). being the super awesome plus sized fashionista that I am ( almost forgot the sarc mark on the fashionista part) i’ve learned to take good care of my clothes because it’s 1. expensive and 2. takes a lot of leg work to find clothes that will work for me. That being said, I don’t get rid of stuff until it’s broken. I have clothes that have lived in my closet longer that I’ve been with my husband. and it’s time for them to go.

greater numbers

That’s not to say I won’t be shopping for more clothes. I run into cute clothes for me, my kids, and my husband weekly. The only difference is, precious hanger and drawer space won’t be wasted on 7 pairs of pajama pants. The clothes we don’t wear will be going on to do bigger and better things; they will be donated to a local church that supplies clothing and goods to over 10,000 families in need.

Any of you guys hoarding? Comment below and tell me what you have way too much of.  ( obviously my hoarding includes toys, shoes, makeup, and mugs too… but that’s another project for another day).
